Austrailian war metal is a subgenre of Heavy Metal Music Originating in Australia, the form is characterized by a fusion of death metal rhythm section with 1980's Thrash-style guitar riffs and vocals, particularly influenced by German thrash bands such as Sodom and Coroner; exponents of Australian war metal include Bestial Warlust, Destroyer666 & Gospel of the Horns.
